‘DA KINK IN MY HAIR - T.V.

A Global Television Network, Original Series 'da Kink in my Hair is a Canadian television sitcom. Based on the play of the same name by trey anthony, the story was adapted into a television show airing on Global, and ShowCase.

'da Kink in my Hair, follows the lives of a group of women who let their hair down in more ways than one at Letty's, a vibrant and bustling hair salon in Toronto's Caribbean community.

Novelette, Letty's smart and capable owner, has the answers to her clients' dilemmas but can't always figure out how to tame the tangles in her own life surrounded as she is by her outspoken eccentric sister Joy, her fourteen-year-old born-and-raised in Jamaica son Dre and her family of stylists including the wide-eyed new girl Starr and the wicked-tongued bad boy Nigel.

The series filters its stories through the quirky, ironic, irrepressible humour of the Caribbean community while using its salon setting to tackle universal themes: what we all really talk about, cry about, and laugh about when we feel free to be ourselves.

The show has recently been launched in South Africa and Jamaica to glowing reviews. The producers are currently exploring opportunities to sell the show to the U.S. market. If you are interested in purchasing the show for an international market please contact, info@treyanthonystudios.com.
